sex
Two chimney sweeps, heterosexual, married and monogamous, share a sexual experience that is as enjoyable as it is unexpected. Questioning identity? One discusses it banally with his wife, while the other wonders about the way his personality is shaped by the opinions of others. Filmed with slow and wonderful sweeping shots, creating a feeling of serenity, this situation nevertheless deeply shakes contemporary traditional masculinity.
With a dry humour and sharp writing, the director of the film Barn – Beware of Children, presented at the festival in 2019, returns with a bold reflection on modern masculinity that is both thought-provoking and insightful.
