A compassionate middle school teacher is accused of harassment, but the principal seeks to suppress both the complaints and any chance of explanation. No waves allowed. Based on real events experienced by the director, the film strikes deeply: when dehumanizing systems take over, turning them into fiction becomes cathartic. The filmmaker describes his work as a scream. “and if there is a scream, it is because there is hope…”
François Civil brings sublime intensity to this role, carrying this powerful social and political film with remarkable depth.
